When: Saturday, Sept. 8, 3:30 to 9 p.m. Description: Montgomery County's celebration of America's great art form, featuring prominent local talent and internationally renowned headliners. Why go: Check out the largest agricultural county fair in Maryland; features farm animals, rides, food and entertainment. Price: $10. Children 11 and under are free. Kids Day: Costumes, Games and Family Fun Where: Briggs Chaney-Greencastle Farmers and Artisans’ Market in northeast Silver Spring, located at 3300 Briggs Chaney Rd. Zoo Lights Where/When: National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Ave., Washington, DC). Dec. 2-4, 9-11, 16-23 and 26-30 and Jan. 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. (The zoo is still open during the day, but the lights won't necessarily be on.)
