Takoma Park Stabbing Victim Released from Hospital

Police are still looking for a suspect.

A man who was stabbed June 19 in an attempted armed robbery was released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, according to Takoma Park Police Crime Analyst Andrew Gucciardo. Stay with Patch for more as this story unfolds. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter, too. Police said, on June 19 the suspect got off a bus heading south on New Hampshire Avenue toward Eastern Avenue.. He approached a man waiting at the bus stop and allegedly asked the man for property. According to police a struggle ensued and the suspect stabbed the man multiple times with a knife. Update: Police Search For Takoma Park Stabbing Suspect

Area police are searching for the suspect who stabbed a man at a bus stop on New Hampshire Avenue in Takoma Park.

Update, June 19, 8 p.m.: The suspect in Tuesday's stabbing is described as a black male, in his 30's, approximately 5-foot-11 with a thin athletic build, dark complexion, short dark hair and stubble facial hair. He was wearing blue jeans and black shoes, according to Takoma Park Police Crime Analyst Andrew Gucciardo. Investigation continues under case #12030038.  Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 301.270.1100.
