When Starbucks and Caribou won't do, where do you get your fix?

Folks in Silver Spring like their coffee—there are three Starbucks locations within a half-mile of the Metro station. That's no surprise, since HuffPost DC said Washington was the sixth most caffeinated city in America. Some of that coffee thirst must extend past the border, right? In a list of 10 best non-chain coffee shops in DC with free wifi from the news outlet, no shops in Silver Spring were listed. Two in Virginia—one in Clarendon and one in Old Towne Alexandria—made the cut.  So, let's make our own list. We'll get it started with some help from Yelp.
