'A Christmas Carol' Begins Dec. 7 at Silver Spring Stage
The theater will perform the holiday classic two weekends only, beginning Dec. 7.
If this holiday season has you feeling a little "bah, humbug," the Silver Spring Stage's hour-long performance of A Christmas Carol may do the trick. The theater will present its version of the classic play based on the book by Charles Dickens two weekends only, Dec. 7-9 and Dec. 14-16. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. There will also be a "pay what you can" preview of the play Thursday, Dec. 6. Silver Spring's Ebeneezer Scrooge was adapted by Michael Hardwick, directed and co-produced by Pauline Griller-Mitchell and co-produced by Natalie McManus, who also narrates the play.
