County Honors Holy Cross Hospital 50th Anniversary
A Montgomery County Council proclamation on Tuesday will honor the Silver Spring hospital.
Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring marked its 50th anniversary on Jan. 10--a milestone that the Montgomery County Council will celebrate with a special proclamation Tuesday. The hospital has shared a collection of anniversary stories on its website, such as the first emergency surgery patient and a maternity patient who became an employee. On April 18, 2012, the hospital celebrated 100,000 births since 2000. TELL US: What are some of your memories at Holy Cross Hospital?

My memories are ones of shocking hostility from the nurses and the doctors who treated my father 10 years ago. I wanted them to try to save my dad's life and they were not afraid or ashamed to show me how they felt about it.
