The new Costco is like a wonderland for my kids. Staunching the binge buying is going to take some effort.
Back when my kids were in diapers, my husband and I were Costco members and would head down to Beltsville every month or so to buy diapers, oranges, ground beef, and usually an impulse purchase or two. (Two dozen Sharpies in a rainbow of colors? Yes, please!) Side note: Have you noticed that everyone has an opinion on which is the best Costco? Side note to the side note: No one thinks it is the Beltsville location. Now that there is a Costco within walking distance of our house, we re-signed up under the premise that we could go there to buy just milk or just bread—or just 32 new acrylic drinking glasses. Wheaton Costco Gas Station Hearing Scheduled for March
The Stop Costco Gas Coalition is concerned that the special exception hearing will be too soon for the group to present a strong response to Costco's application.
Opponents of the proposed Costco gas station at Westfield Wheaton have written two letters to the Board of Appeals for Montgomery County, requesting a delay of the hearing for Costco's new special exception application. The Board of Appeals has issued a notice that the hearing is scheduled for March 11, 15, 18, and 22 at 9:30 a.m. in the Stella B. Werner Council Office Building, Second Floor Davidson Memorial Hearing Room, at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville. (See PDF attached to this article.) Everyone of your points are great but have no solid proof. You are just guessing at what could happen. We need more business and employment in Wheaton/Kensington. As to the question of my residence I live in Kensington 20895 and have since 1969. I love our town but hate what it has become. We need progress not protests. Would Joe Biden Come to the Wheaton Costco?
Who knew Vice President Joe Biden was such a Costco fan? He went on a shopping spree Thursday at a Costco in DC.
Although no one knows for sure when the Wheaton Costco will open its doors, perhaps one of its first customers could be the U.S. vice president. Joe Biden went on a shopping spree at a Costco in Northeast DC Thursday morning during the store's grand opening, The Huffington Post reported. Tomorrow, Oct. 2, is the 10-year anniversary of what became known as the DC sniper case -- a horrific chapter in local history that began in Montgomery County and became a national story. It's hard to describe to those who weren't here what it was like to fear a random bullet during routine trips to the grocery store or gas station, or to drive past playgrounds and parks empty of children, runners and bike riders.
