Four Blair hockey players were selected to play in the Montgomery Hockey Conference All-Star Game last week. Patch's Gabe Pinkney caught up with three of them to discuss their accomplishment.

Joe Noyes is a passionate sports fan and former hockey player. Since the age of 4, Noyes has played and followed hockey intensely, including two years on the Montgomery Blair High School team. He has supplemented his sports interests with photography by taking pictures at various sporting events, especially at Washington Capitals games. It's funny, the typical winter high school sports include basketball, wrestling, swimming, and indoor track. We associate these sports with the winter because that's when they've always been played at the high school level. But really, swimming? In the winter? Clearly it's indoors, but honestly, whoever decided to putting swimming in December was obviously not a person of sensible scheduling skills. Montgomery Blair's winter athletic docket, however, picks up the slack where many others' fall flat, as it includes a sport actually meant for the coldest time of the year.
