Bites Nearby: Pollo Wow!

Takoma Park boasts a diverse selection of culinary offerings, but how do you know which places are really worth visiting? You could search the internet and trust a stranger’s review, or you can just get patched in to the best restaurants in town through o

Charbroiled/Peruvian/charcoal/rotisserie-style chicken restaurants have popped up at a steady pace in the area over the last few years. Of course, they generally feature the word “pollo” and some really have interesting names. My favorite has to be POLLO WOW, located on New Hampshire Avenue both for its name and its chicken! Graduate Close Up: Gerson Calles

Calles, who graduated in 2011 has aspirations of attending M.I.T.

Recent Montgomery Blair High School graduate Gerson Calles was able to balance the responsibilities of being both a student and an athlete. "Gerson is an outstanding student.
