8407 Kitchen Bar to Offer Special New Year's Eve Menu
The popular Silver Spring restaurant will create a "pop up" menu with a new chef, the Washington Post reports.
Approaching the holidays sans head chef may have forced 8407 Kitchen Bar to get creative, the Washington Post reports. Jerry Trise, proprietor of a food truck Chef Driven and former executive chef at Yin Yankee in Annapolis, will prepare a four-course meal for New Year's Eve revelers with prices ranging from $65 to $100 a person, depending on the time of the meal and whether wine is included. The special dinner is billed as a "pop up" New Year's Eve, the Post said. Trise, who is general manager Nancy Hart's partner, the Post reports, hasn't nailed down the exact menu items yet. 8407's owner Theo Margas recently fired the restaurant's longtime executive chef Pedro Matamoros, whose speciality was lamb Bolognese, Bethesda magazine reported…
