Takoma Plays Holds Yard Sale Benefit

The next Play Day will be Sept. 22.

The events provided by Takoma Plays might be free to attendees, but they still cost money to those organizing.

To help fund the fun, the group will be holding a yard sale July 21 from 8 a.m. to noon at 7301 Maple Ave.

The next Play Day will be Sept. 22nd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Takoma Park Middle School. Already in the lineup:

  • Special Violin Ensemble performance with 10 - 15 children from the Keri Tomenco Violin Studio
  • The Scrub Pines (Nelson Spangler, guitar and Andrea Bassoff, lead vocals, rhythm guitar) Acoustic, Americana, and Roots Music
  • The "Sultan of Simon Says", Senator Jamie Raskin, returns to lead another round
  • Refreshments sold by Armand's Pizza and Carmen's Italian Ice
  • Zumba dance - fun and energetic
  • Double Dutch
  • Touch a Truck
  • Obstacle course
