Dogs March Against Romney in Takoma Park

In Takoma Park, politics really is for the dogs.

Only in Takoma Park.

The Takoma Park Independence Day Parade is a big deal to residents of the city. And in typical Takoma Park fashion, the parade was as political as it was fun. Even the pets were getting political.

Good Dog, Bad Romney is a political organization, tasked with spreading the story that Mitt Romney took a 12-hour road trip with the family dog, Seamus, in a crate tied to the roof of his car.

The group took to the streets and marched with their dogs in the parade to spread the message and to promote animal rights.

Oh Ryan, Good try but you can't compare a ten year old eating the fare in a foreign country with a thirty-eight year old father of five setting a bad example of animal cruelty. Six hours into his highway speed trip to Canada, Romney's dog was so stressed his kids saw a torrent of brown poop covering the station wagon's rear window. Romney responded by pulling over, hosing down the car and the dog and then throwing "Seamus" back up on the roof for another six hours. Inexcusable.

Get real--there's no comparison between the two stories. Pres. Obama was 10 years old, following the customs where he lived. Romney was a 38-year-old father of five, setting an egregious example of cruelty for his kids.

Any nazi who would strap a dog or any animal for that matter to the roof of his car for 12 hours, then take it down, hose it off, and put it back into hell, deserves some of the same. The fact that this country would sell it's soul by trying to brush this under the rug for their own gains, speaks volumes of where this country is headed, straight to hell. What a despicable piece of crap this Romney is. He has more money than most, claims he "Loves" his God, and does a thing like this He could have rented a trailer with windows and air, or a Winnebego and attached his car for the 12 hour trip so they all could be in comfort and peace. What a loser.

As a kid, our family of 7 would regularly take long car trips. Our family dog was always along for the ride...inside the car. I couldn't imagine my father strapping a dog crate to the roof and sticking our pup up there. How one even comes up with such an idea is beyond me. To me, how someone treats animals (domesticated or otherwise), shows their true character. I would never vote for a person who treated their family pet in such a cruel manner...and to this day, sees nothing wrong with the behavior.
