A Romance to Remember: Your Body and Gravity (Alexander Technique) taught by Mary Nader

Don’t let gravity get you down! The Alexander Technique has a 100- year history of helping people move with ease and freedom. Taught in most major conservatories and arts schools, the technique teaches us to think and move in patterns of coordination that use the whole self. It is especially useful for preventing strain and injury in movers, and can ease back and joint pain. In this workshop we’ll discover patterns of habitual use that get in the way of free movement, apply some new thinking to the way we move, learn some simple self-care techniques, and try some practical applications.

Event is from 7-9pm. There is an entry fee of $25 for this event. Discount: $100 for the whole February if you register in advance!

To register in advance, e-mail Ellen Chenoweth at ellen@danceexchange.org with your name and if you’re registering for February, April, or both series.  We’ll collect payment when you arrive for the first event.
