Six Blair Students Named Semifinalists in National Science Competition
Nine MCPS students were semifinalists.
Six Montgomery Blair High School students were named semifinalists in the Siemens Competition in math, science and technology, Montgomery County Public Schools said.
They were 317 semifinalists announced nationwide and of the 10 from Maryland, only one came from a school outside of MCPS. A total of 2,436 students registered for the 2011-2012 competition.
The semifinalists from Montgomery Blair High School are:
- Arec Jamgochian
- Frederic Koehler
- Maureen Lei
- Nina Lu
- Ziyao Wang
- Andrew Zhang
