Report: Takoma Park Middle Wins Second Place in Annual Science Bowl

Students are eager to come back and take home next year's first-place trophy, according to the report.

 

Takoma Park Middle School represented for Montgomery County in the 2013 U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl by taking home a second-place prize.

TPMS students outsmarted about 100 teams Monday from around the country, according to a Washington Post report.

It wasn’t an easy task. Students had to compete against more than 1000 other teams just to be able to compete for a title in the nation's capital.

The $1,000 prize money received will be used to fund needs in the school's science department.
