University of Maryland's top graduation honor was given to a former Montgomery Blair High School graduate, according to a Gazette report.
Jenny Wang was awarded the University Medal, which “recognizes the graduating senior who best represents academic distinction, exemplary character and service to the campus or public communities.”
Wang received a dual degree in English, and physiology and neurobiology, from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Wang was a teaching assistant for two genetics classes, served as editor-in-chief of Scientific Terrapin and volunteered with the Gemstone-Ellicott Service Committee, according to the Gazette story.
