Foreclosure Prevention Workshop to Benefit Maryland Homeowners and Renters

Maryland homeowners and renters in the Washington, DC area who may be at risk of foreclosure will be able to get valuable information and access helpful resources at the “Mortgage Late? Don’t Wait!” Foreclosure Prevention Workshop on April 2nd at the Prince George’s Sports & Learning Complex – Field House on 8001 Sheriff Road in Landover.  The event, sponsored by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, is free and open to the public.

Loan servicers, non-profit pro bono attorneys and housing counseling agencies will be on hand to assist consumers and meet with homeowners to work on possible solutions to help them stay in their home.  In addition, a workshop sponsored by the Public Justice Center is also scheduled for tenants whose residential property is facing foreclosure.  The presentation will provide valuable information on renters’ rights.

The event is free, however attendees are encouraged to RSVP.
