Event Description: The way we manage our credit and debt affects how much we pay for credit (i.e. interest rates), our ability to be qualified for more credit, and even employment opportunities and how much we pay for car insurance.


In this presentation, you will learn about:

  • Navigating the loan process
  • Tips on managing your finances, and
  • Understanding credit reports and scores.

This class is provided by the Maryland CASH Campaign and CAFE Montgomery MD.

The Maryland CASH (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope) Campaign™: is a state-wide network of organizations that promote financial stability for working families. Our coalition includes Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) partners that provide free tax preparation services, promote access to high-quality financial services, and offer financial education and coaching.

The Coalition for the Advancement of Financial Education, also known as CAFE Montgomery MD, promotes and delivers high quality financial education to County residents of all ages, communities and ethnic groups. CAFE Montgomery MD's goal is to provide the necessary tools for making informed decisions about saving, spending, borrowing and managing credit.
