210-Unit Apartment Complex Planned at Takoma Metro

New plan preserves green space and leaves room for a potential streetcar station.

Plans for a 210-unit apartment complex near the Takoma Metro moved forward this week, DC Urban Turf reported. Representatives from development company EYA and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority met with community members in Takoma Park Tuesday to introduce plans for the space.

The complex will be comprise mostly studio and one-bedroom apartments, with a few two-bedrooms. Some green space is preserved and the developers are leaving space for a potential Georgia Avenue streetcar station, according to Urban Turf.
