Would Joe Biden Come to the Wheaton Costco?

Who knew Vice President Joe Biden was such a Costco fan? He went on a shopping spree Thursday at a Costco in DC.

Although no one knows for sure when the Wheaton Costco will open its doors, perhaps one of its first customers could be the U.S. vice president.

Joe Biden went on a shopping spree at a Costco in Northeast DC Thursday morning during the store's grand opening, The Huffington Post reported.

His haul reportedly included children's books, fire logs, a 32-inch Panasonic TV and an apple pie. Want to see the funny face he made at the cash register? Check out the photos at The Huffington Post website.

I hope he waits until they fix the apparently defective floors.

Just think, if the gas station goes in where Costco/Westfield want it, he could sit outside, eating an organic burger at Elevation Burger while listening to the noise from the tire center and smelling the fumes from the gas station with the idling cars waiting in line. He could even Metro there and back with another 32 inch TV.

Why not? The DC Costco is embroiled in its own gas station controversy to get around a DC law prohibiting sales of liquor and gasoline at the same location by having the proposed station lot owned by CWC WDC LCC, which the DC government is treating a separate entity from Costco Wholesale Corporation that owns the store property itself. If that did not stop the Bidenator, we may see him at the Wheaton Costco opening as well, provided he gets to ride the Amtrak to Kensington!

Amtrak doesn't stop in Kensington.

Dear Homewood resident: It has been reported that Amtrak was known for holding up trains to Delaware when Senator Biden was running late. You would think that the Vice President of these United States of America and Amtrak's most vocal proponent & lovable mascot can get the train to drop him off in Kensington.
