Professor Arthur M. Eckstein will be presenting "Julius Caesar, Empire, and the Fall of the Roman Republic."

Eckstein is Professor of History and Distinguished Scholar-Teacher at the University of Maryland.  He is the author of four books on the Ancient World and a co-edited book on American Culture, along with almost 60 scholarly articles ranging from human sacrifice at Rome to the economic thought of Lenin.
