Van Hollen Calls Out for Dist. 8 High School Artists

The winner's work would be on display in the U.S. Capitol.

If you're a high school student in Maryland's U.S. Congressional District 8 and have a proclivity for canvasses and color, your work could end up displayed in the U.S. Capitol.

Rep. Chris Van Hollen is hosting his annual Congressional Art Competition. The winning entry will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year and runners-up will be displayed in Van Hollen’s congressional offices, according to a news release about the competition.

There will be a juried exhibition of about 90 of the submitted pieces, which will be on display at VisArts in Rockville from April 26- May 17.
