Update: Male, Schultz and Daniels-Cohen Win in Official Results of Takoma Park Election

The votes will be made official at tonight's Takoma Park City Council meeting.

Update 7:30 p.m.: After a day of waiting for provisional ballots, the results did not change from the unofficial count Tuesday night. There were two races close enough to go either way after provisionals were counted

Tim Male won the Ward 2 fight with 351 votes. Lorig Charkoudian got 334 votes in Ward 2.

In the close race for Ward 6, Incumbent Fred Schultz kept his seat with 134 votes to Barrie Howard's 111.

Kay Daniels-Cohen won soundly against Mike Graul and Jeffrey Noel-Nosbaum.

Bruce Williams kept his seat as Mayor. Seth Grimes won his uncontested race for Ward 1. Incumbent Terry Seamens won unconstested in Ward 4. Incumbent Reuben Snipper also won in an uncontested race for Ward 5.

Original Story: The results are in for the contested Takoma Park City Council races. They're still unofficial until the city certifies them this evening and provisional ballots have not been counted. Two of the races were incredibly close so things could change.

Tim Male edged out the Ward 2 win with 343 votes to Lorig Charkoudian's 330 votes.

And Incumbent Fred Schultz beat Barrie Howard by just 20 votes in the Ward 6 election. Schultz had 129 votes and Barrie Howard had 109 votes.

Kay Daniels-Cohen ran away with the Ward 3 race. She had 283 votes. Mike Graul had 88 Votes and Jeffrey Noel-Nosbaum had 67 Votes.

In the uncontested races, Terry Seamens kept his seat in Ward 4 with 191 votes, Reuben Snipper will once again represent Ward 5 with 72 votes, Bruce Williams is again the mayor with 1,633 votes and Seth Grimes, the only uncontested candidate who wasn’t an incumbent, won his seat in Ward 1 with 239 votes.
