Voter turnout is already higher than in 2011.

It's election day in Takoma Park. Special election day, that is.

Only 76 people turned out for Ward 5 uncontested race in 2011 when Reuben Snipper was elected.

This year that number has been beaten already. As of 3 p.m., 96 Ward 5 voters have come out to the polls to .
