The Takoma Wellness Center, one of four future medical marijuana dispensaries in Washington, D.C., was granted approval, according to a report in the Takoma Voice.
The medical marijuna legislation was signed into law two years and provided for the use of medical marijuana for cancer, HIV, AIDS, mulitple sclerosis and glaucoma.
The Takoma Wellness Center, which will be run by Rabbi Jeffrey Kahn and Stephanie Kahn, both medical marijuana advocates, will work with a physician and District's Department of Health to approve patients for medical marijuana use.
There is not date set for when the dispensary will open yet.
