Takoma Foundation Serves Up Beer and Charity Saturday

Nine area microbrews will be served.

If you like beer, and let's face it beer is pretty good, then Takoma Park is the place you want to be Saturday.

The third annual Takoma Foundation Beerfest will be held Oct. 15 at the Cady-Lee Mansion at 7064 Eastern Ave. NW from 4-8 p.m. Tickets are $30 and a partion of the ticket price is tax-deductible.

The event will feature beers from nine area microbreweries including D.C. Brau, District Chop House, Flying Dog, Franklin’s, Gordon Biersch, Hook and Ladder, Old Dominion, Port City and Lost Rhino. Food will be donated by Mark's Kitchen, Olice Lounge, Roscoe's and Whole Foods.

The money raised will go to the Takoma Foundation's grant program.
