Takoma Academy Student Recognized for Public Service
Each school in Rep Van Hollen's 8th District was asked to select an outstanding student.
Joel Petgrave, a graduating senior at Takoma Academy, was recognized by Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Dist. 8) for his public service.
Van Hollen established the public service award program to recognize graduating students in area high schools for their contributions to their school and to their community, according to a statement from Van Hollen.
Each participating high school in Maryland’s Eighth Congressional District was invited to select an outstanding student for this special recognition.
