Seth Grimes to Run for Ward 1 City Council Seat
Grimes is the only Ward 1 candidate so far.
With Ward 1 Councilman Josh Wright being one of three Takoma Park councilmembers not seeking reelection, Seth Grimes announced his candidacy for the Ward 1 seat. He is only Ward 1 candidate so far.
Grimes is a fifteen-year Ward 1 resident and a long-time community activist, according to a campaign release.
"For now, while I do have a good sense of local issues, I'm focused on listening rather than stating positions," Grimes said in the release.
His immediate concerns are crime, development, the environment, relations with outside agencies and city services.

With Colleen Clay (Ward 2), Dan Robinson (Ward 3) and Josh Wright (Ward 1), not seeking reelection, the field is wide open. and will face off for Ward 2 and is the sole candidate so far for Ward 3.
