Ivey Drops Out of District 4 Race

Edwards will be running against less visible democrats in the primary.

With the filing deadline looming Wednesday, former Prince George's County Prosecutor Glenn Ivey will not run against sitting U.S. Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Dist. 4) in Maryland's April 3 primary, according to a Washington Post report.

Ivey announced his plan to challenge Edwards in November and, despite his high visibility in Prince George's County, has had trouble raising money, the Washington Post report said.

Ivey's exit leaves two less visible democrats, George McDermott and Ian Garner, to run against Edwards.
