Crossing Guard Coming to Ethan Allen and Carroll Avenue
Crossing guard times may vary depending on pedestrian needs.
Residents have been making noise about a crossing guard in the Takoma Junction area and now they've got one.
A senior crossing guard will be stationed at Ethan Allen Avenue and Carroll Avenue starting April 10, Takoma Park Police said.
The hours the crossing guard will be on duty are as follows:
7:20 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
8:20 a.m. - 9:20 a.m.
2:40 p.m. - 3:10 p.m.
3:20 p.m. - 3:50 p.m.
4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The new post's times will vary as the City gets a sense of the needs of
the pedestrians, police said.
