County Curfew Legislation Would Apply to Takoma Park

The city council could pass legislation to opt out.

If the Montgomery County Council to have a countywide curfew of 11 p.m. on weekdays and midnight on weekends, the law would apply in the City of Takoma Park unless the city council decides to exempt Takoma Park from the law, Takoma Park Deputy City Manager Suzanne Ludlow said.

The reason for the county proposal is that teens are crossing over from Washington, D.C., and Prince George’s County, where curfews are already in place, Montgomery County Police said.

The curfew legislation isn't guaranteed to pass though. to protest the proposed curfew.
