Council to Continue Budget Work Sessions Tonight

The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Takoma Park Community Center.

Tonight the Takoma Park City Council will continue the FY 2012 budget process, as it holds work sessions on proposed spending plans for the General Government Department, Public Works and the Stormwater Management Fund.

The work sessions will begin at 8 p.m., following regular agenda items and a legislative update.  Any updates to the agenda will be announced at that time.

During its April 14 meeting, the Takoma Park City Council held work sessions on the proposed budget for the Recreation Department, Police Department and Library.

At its next meeting on April 20, the Council will hold the final work sessions on proposed budgets for Housing and Community Development, the Speed Camera Fund and Communications. 

A public hearing is scheduled at the April 25 meeting, where residents can comment on how they'd like to see the proposed budget adjusted. The entire proposed FY 2012 Budget is available for review online
