City of Takoma Park Now Accepting Community Development Block Grant Applications

Community organizations can apply for funds until Sept. 24, 2012.

Community organizations that work in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods have until Sept. 24 to apply for project funding from a government grant.

Each year, the City of Takoma Park receives a Community Development Block Grant (CDGB) to fund activities that benefit low- and moderate-income community residents. The funding comes from the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) via the Montgomery County Government.

Interested community organizations can apply for a portion of those funds for neighborhood revitalization, economic development and / or improved community facilities and services.
