Community organizations that work in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods have until Sept. 24 to apply for project funding from a government grant.
Each year, the City of Takoma Park receives a Community Development Block Grant (CDGB) to fund activities that benefit low- and moderate-income community residents. The funding comes from the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) via the Montgomery County Government.
Interested community organizations can apply for a portion of those funds for neighborhood revitalization, economic development and / or improved community facilities and services.
Guidelines for the program can be found on the Takoma Park website and the application is available to the right of this article in the photo section.
If you have any questions regarding Takoma Park’s CDGB program, please contact the Housing and Community Development Department at 301-891-7119.
