Azalea Recordings Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary

The anniversary concert will be May 1.

Azalea City Recordings is celebrating its 15th Anniversary this year and that means a free concert for area residents.

Patty Reese, Jon Carrol, Elikeh, Karen Collins & The Backroads Band, The U Liners, Ruthie and the Wranglers, Carey Creed and Jesse Palidofsky will perform May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Takoma Park Community center to celebrate the anniversary. Admission is free.

Founded in 1996 by engineer and producer Charlie Pilzer, Azalea City Recordings works with artists who use traditional music for inspiration. The label is a cooperative run by the artists and has gone from a small town folk label to winning multiple WAMMIE awards for best D.C. area record label.
