T1 Beat:

Robbery

7400 block of Birch Ave., on Thursday, June 23 at 10:46 p.m., two
unknown suspects drove past the female victim and as she walked from the Takoma Metro station. The vehicle stopped and suspect #1 exited the vehicle and displayed a small black handgun demanding the victims property. The victim complied and suspect #1 fled back to the car with the property. The two suspects then fled in their vehicle along Cedar Avenue. The victim did not sustain any injury.

Burglary- Residential

7100 block of Carroll Ave., on Friday, June 24 at 11:28 p.m., unknown
suspect(s) attempted to force open a side door while the victims slept.
The suspect(s) were unsuccessful and fled the scene.

Unit block of Philadelphia Ave., on Friday, June 24 at 7:00 a.m.,
officers responded for a burglary that occurred earlier. The victim
advised that while walking her dog, unknown suspect(s) entered through an unlocked front door and stole cash from a purse.

Larceny

6900 block of Laurel Ave., on Sunday, June 26 at 11:50 a.m., unknown
suspect(s) opened the victim’s backpack and stole a check book.

Larceny- From Auto

Unit block of Philadelphia Ave., on Friday, June 24 at 5:30 p.m.,
officers responded for a theft from auto that occurred earlier. Unknown
suspect(s) opened an unlocked vehicle door and stole a portable GPS
unit.

6800 block of Eastern Ave., on Wednesday, June 29 at 9:00 a.m.,
officers responded for a theft from auto that occurred overnight.
Unknown suspect(s) gained access to the victim’s vehicle by unknown
means and stole property.

Auto Theft

6700 block of Westmoreland Ave., on Wednesday, June 29 at 11:38 p.m., two males 16 and 25 were arrested for auto theft.

Burglary- Commercial

7500 block of New Hampshire Ave., on Thursday, June 30 at 8:30 a.m., officers responded for a burglary that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) broke a window leading into the business. No property was reported missing.

Larceny

800 block of Jackson Ave., on Friday, June 24 at 5:45 p.m., unknown
suspect(s) stole the female victims’ keys after she left them in the
front door while inside the residence.

1300 block of University Blvd., on Tuesday, June 28 at 3:07 p.m., an
unknown suspect entered a business, grabbed a cell phone from the
display rack, and then fled the store in an unknown direction.

Arrests:

6900 block of Laurel Ave., on Wednesday, June 29 at 1:30 a.m., a male 43 was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Intersection of Walnut Ave. and Eastern Ave., on Tuesday, June 28 at
9:43 p.m., a male 24 was arrested for having an open warrant through
Prince Georges County.

Intersection of University Blvd. and Merrimac Dr., on Sunday, June 26
at 12:10 a.m., a male 43 was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

6800 block of New Hampshire Ave., on Saturday, June 25 at 10:14 p.m., a male 21 was arrested for possession of marijuana.

8500 block of Carroll Ave., on Saturday, June 25 at 12:33 a.m., a male
18 was arrested for obstruction of justice and providing false
information.

7600 block of New Hampshire Ave., on Friday, June 24 at 3:28 a.m., a
male 55 was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

7600 block of New Hampshire Ave., on Monday, June 27 at 3:45 p.m., a male 26 was arrested for fraud.
