Ward 4 Tops Crime in Takoma Park This Week

Check out all the crime this week in Takoma Park.

This week Ward 4 had the most crime and Ward 2 had no crime at all.

Ward 1:

Residential Burglary

  • 7400 block of Buffalo Ave. - On July 25 at 2:20 p.m., officers responded to a burglary that occurred earlier. An unknown suspect broke a basement window to gain entry into the residence and removed property.

Ward 3:

Larceny from Vehicle

  • 6600 block of Gude Ave. - On July 24 at 5:45 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred earlier. An unknown suspect entered two vehicles parked in a driveway and stole property.


Assault

  • 100 block of Lee Ave., on Monday, July 23rd at 9:52 p.m., officers responded to an assault in progress. A male 58, was arrested for assaulting a female victim during an argument that turned physical.

Larceny from Vehicle

  • 100 block of Ritchie Ave. - July 20 at 6:31 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. An unknown suspect broke a vehicle window and stole property.

 

  • 150 block of Ritchie Ave. - On July 20 at 6:37 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. An unknown suspect broke the vehicle window and stole property.

 

  • 7100 block of Maple Ave. - On July 26 at 12:52 a.m., officers responded to a theft in progress. A man was observed by a witness entering an unlocked vehicle and removing property. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Assault

  • 600 block. of Houston Ave. - On July 23 at 9:08 p.m., officers responded to an assault in progress. A man was arrested for assaulting a female victim during an argument that turned physical.



Ward 6:

Larceny from Vehicle

  • 7200 block of 14th Ave. - On July 20 at 7:53 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. An unknown suspect broke a vehicle window and stole a portable GPS unit.

 

  • 7200 block of 14th Ave. - On July 20 at 7:26 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. An nknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and stole property.
