Three Men Arrested In Eastern Carry-out Robbery

MoCo and state police aided Takoma Park Police.

Three people were arrested yesterday for armed robbery of the Eastern Carry-out in the 6900 block of Eastern Avenue.

Three subjects entered the business and robbed one customer and two employees, police said. The subjects were each armed with semi-automatic handguns.  They fled in a Burgundy Dodge Intrepid.

A Takoma Park Police officer spotted the subject vehicle speeding on Lincoln Avenue at Elm Avenue.  The van continued west on Lincoln Avenue when it lost control at Lincoln at Boyd Avenue and flipped over and struck multiple vehicles before coming to rest on its roof in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue, police said.  All three subjects in the vehicle exited and fled on foot.
