Thirteen-Year-Old Robbed With Sharp Weapon

The girl refused and the suspect slashed at her arms with the unknown weapon.

A 13-year-old girl is safe after refusing to give up her property to a man who robbed her with a sharp weapon, according to Takoma Park Police.

Around 5:15 a.m. on May 21, the girl was walking home from school near Glenside Drive and Anne Street when she as accosted by a man who displayed a sharp weapon and demanded property, police said.

The girl refused and the suspect slashed at her arms with the unknown
weapon. The victim removed her backpack and began to swing it at the
suspect knocking him down. While he was on the ground, the victim ran
home where her parents called police.
