WMATA released its quarterly report on crime at Metro stations and the Takoma Station ranks 28th out of 69 stations.
There were six crimes committed at the Takoma Station from January to March, according to WMATA statistics. All six were property crimes. None were crimes against a person. During that time period there four arrests made in the crimes.
The Metro station with the most crime by far was the Anacostia Station with 32 property crimes and three crimes against a person.

Crime has risen system wide over the last five years. There were 145 more crimes at Metro stations in the first quarter of 2012 than there were in the first quarter of 2008.
