Takoma Park Resident Robbed at Gun Point

Police ask that anyone with information to call 301-270-1100.

Takoma Park Police are searching for three suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on the 100 block of Elm Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery victim was doing construction on a home when three suspects confronted him with a gun, according to police. One of the suspects held the victim’s arms behind his back while another stole property, police said.

The victim suffered minor physical injuries when he resisted.

When police arrived on Elm Avenue around 2 p.m. to investigate, they used a K-9 to track the suspects. The search led the officers toward Pine Avenue and Columbia Avenue  and ended at the 7000 block of Carroll Avenue.  

Police ask that anyone with information to contact them at 301-270-1100 or text an anonymous tip to 847411 with the letters T-P-P-D-T-I-P at the beginning of the message.
