Takoma Park Police Chief Ricucci Looks Back

Patch sat down with Chief Ricucci before he leaves Takoma Park.

Takoma Park Police Chief Ronald Ricucci will be retiring at the end of July so Patch wanted to ask him a few questions about his time in Azalea City.

Patch: What are some of the biggest changes you've made to the department in your tenure as Chief of Police?

Takoma Park Police Chief Ronald Ricucci:  (1) Update to Communications Section (2) New uniforms (3) Crime Analyst (4) Revival of Bike Program (5) Communications to residents and (6) Cameras and Computers in each patrol car.

Patch:  What is your greatest memory of being Takoma Park Chief of Police?

Ricucci:  .

Patch:  What was your toughest time as Takoma Park Chief of Police?

Ricucci:  The and the pursuit into PG County where we killed the suspect in December 2011.

Patch: What will you miss most about Takoma Park?

Ricucci: The employees of the department, our residents, and the management team that I was a part of.
