Last week Takoma Park Police Chief Ronald Ricucci released an 83-page report on crime in Takoma Park in 2010. We gave you some and we are continuing to distill the information. Here are some more stats for you. Check back tomorrow for more detailed information on the six wards.
Crime broken down by ward:
- Ward Six had 25 percent of overall crime in Takoma Park in 2010, with 166 crimes committed.
- Ward Three had 20 percent, with 131 crimes committed.
- Ward Two had 18 percent, with 117 crimes committed.
- Ward Five and Ward One each had 15 percent. Ward Five had 100 crimes committed and Ward One had 95 total crimes.
- Ward Four had seven percent of overall crime, with 43 crimes committed.
Crimes in the statistics included homicide, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny and auto theft.
