Suspicious Person Seen At Takoma Park Middle School

No crime was committed, but police talked to the man.

Takoma Park Police responded Wednesday to reports of a suspicious person who approached a male student at Takoma Park Middle School Monday, police said.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. the student was approached by a black male, who was operating a dark green SUV, 4-door van, in the parking lot closest to the Piney Branch Road side, according to police.

The man asked the student if he wanted to go work on the man's house. The student said no and the man handed him a note with the name Derek and the man's phone number on it. The man told the student to give him a call if he was interested in doing some work.
