A Silver Spring man died after his car struck a utility pole in Rockville early Wednesday, according to Montgomery County police.
Roy V. Tjongarero, 29, of the 15500 block of Baileys Lane in Silver Spring, died at the hospital from injuries he suffered in the crash, police said in a news release.

Police said Tjongarero was the only one in the car.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. at Veirs Mill Road and Turkey Branch Parkway. Tjongarero was driving east on Veirs Mill Road. It’s unclear why his Honda Accord left the roadway and struck a pole.
