Shot Fired Near Holly Avenue

Officers canvassed the area, but found no evidence of casings.

A Metropolitan Police officer and several Takoma Park residents heard gunshots ring out early Thursday morning, Takoma Park Police said.

On Sept. 20 around 12:36 a.m., Takoma Park Police responded to multiple calls for shots fired aroudn the 7400 block of Holly Avenue. Officers canvassed the area, but found no casings.

When Takoma Park Police spoke with Metropolitan Police, one of the officers, who was on the D.C./Takoma Park border near Eastern Avenue and Maple Avenue said he heard a series of gun shots in the residential area near Cedar Avenue and Maple Avenue.

The investigation into these shots fired is ongoing.
