All lanes of Route 410 at Maple Avenue are now reopened after after a 90-year-old tree fell in the roadway, Takoma Park Police said.
Around 2:09 a.m. the tree, which is about 36 inches in diameter, split completely in half adjacent to the Takoma Park Library and left the road and sidewalk blocked.
Notifications were made to the State Highway Administration, Pepco, Verizon and Montgomery County and Prince George's County ECC, as well as all Ride On and Metro buses.
