Residential Burglary and Theft From Auto Hit Takoma Park Friday

The burglary suspects were last seen fleeing into D.C.

A house in the 7100 block of Carroll Avenue was burglarized Friday around 11:28 p.m., Takoma Park Police said.

Entry was forced through a side door, but property was not taken.  The subjects are described as a heavy, tall black male and a thin black male.  Both suspects were last seen wearing dark clothes.  They were seen fleeing the area in a reddish/maroon vehicle with a sunroof toward the District of Columbia, police said.

In a separate incident on the same day around 6:30 p.m., Takoma Park Police investigated a report of a theft under $500 from a vehicle that had occurred earlier.  Between June 20 around 12:00 p.m. and June 24 at 5:30 p.m., while the victim was away on vacation, suspects made entry into  the victim’s vehicle that was parked in the area of Philadelphia Avenue at Park Avenue and stole property, police said.
