Police Searching for Two Armed Robbery Suspects

Victim struck from behind with "blunt hard object"; cash taken

Takoma Park Police are searching for two suspects in a Sunday armed night robbery of man on Carroll Avenue.

On April 17 at 11:02 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress.  When police arrived, the victim stated he had been walking down the sidewalk in the 7400 block of Carroll, a residential section, when he was struck in the head from behind with a blunt hard object.  It has not yet been determined what the object was. Property including cash was stolen from his pockets.

The suspects fled the scene on foot, running southbound on Carroll Avenue.  They are described as two black males between the ages of 17 and 20.

Police are asking for anyone with information to contact them. "We're looking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time or may have heard anything to contact us," said Andrew Gucciardo, Takoma Park Police Department Crime Analyst.
