New Hampshire Ave Sunoco Sees Theft From Auto

The Sunoco has had several thefts from autos over the last year.

It had been a few months since a car had been broken into at the the Sunoco in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue. But the streak was broken Sunday, Takoma Park Police said.

Around 11:16 a.m., a theft from auto occurred. The victim pulled up to refuel her vehicle.  After having some difficulties with the pump, she went inside the gas station to get assistance.  While inside, an unknown suspect crossed the street from the Prince George’s County side of New Hampshire Avenue and entered the victim’s vehicle through the driver’s side front door and took her purse from the passenger side front seat, police said.
