Man Arrested In Takoma Park on Twelve Warrants for Identity Theft

The man was from Bowie and the warrants were out of North Carolina.

Takoma Park Police arrested Adboul Wahab Traore in the 7400 block of New Hampshire around 4 a.m. July 11 after a traffic stop showed Traore had outstanding warrants in North Carolina for twelve counts of fraud/identity theft and illegal use of credit cards. The warrant was confirmed through the Takoma Park dispatcher, police said.

Traore, 27, of Bowie, was pulled over because failed to obey a 'do not enter' sign on New Hampshire Avenue, police said.

Traore was taken into custody by Takoma Park Police, transported to the Central Processing Unit in Montgomery County and charged accordingly, police said.
