Update: East County Pepco Outages Concentrated in Wheaton
Takoma Park, Silver Spring and Wheaton have minimal outages.
Update 8:07 p.m.: The two most affected zip codes are starting to see power again, according to the Pepco outage map.
In 20901 there are 221 customers without power compared to 1,217 earlier in the day.
In 20902, where there were 3,194 customers affected, there are now less than five.

The cause is under evaluation, and Pepco is estimating power to be restored by 9 p.m. tonight.
Takoma Park, Kensington and Silver Spring Zip codes are all experiencing minor outages.
